Each parent of an parental abduction child possesses a certain amount of knowledge regarding the opposite parents life, relationships, family, and work. ‘Watson’ will be designed to ask the parent an extensive series of questions, which will allow it to outline the legal and investigative process for the left behind parent.
Many parents simply don’t know where to begin when their child goes missing. They don’t know where to look, how to look, how to use social media as a tool, what questions to ask, who to ask and how to piece together events and people to find their loved one. Watson is designed to help those parents. Our hope is that Watson acts as a partner with both the parents and law enforcement agencies. We would like our system to assist the assigned Investigator by augmenting their abilities, through this blueprint method of recovery. Agencies and the parents alike will be able to use this platform, that will continuously collect and analyze case information from all parties involved. Helping them to stay continually informed about the developments and progress made on their case.
In an investigation, one clue (aka a piece of data) to an experienced Detective can change the outcome due to that said experience or awareness of previous cases and solutions. With that in mind, our proposed solution is an AI based platform that analyzes the metadata of cold and successfully recovered cases of missing children. It will then cross analyze a newly inputted case and from that data model a course of action for the recovery of the missing child or children. Decisions will be based off of the shared case data and the projected probability of success and confidence of the system. Our team is in development of a web based program powered by IBM Watson. This system is meant to assist in the collection and analyzing of the provided data for an abducted child. The system capabilities and accuracy would increase with every case processed, due to the deep learning algorithms.
By simply creating a national blueprint for left behind parents to follow, the recovery time will decrease and probability of finding your child will hopefully dramatically increase. Mostly in the states that currently have a low recovery percentage which mostly affect the minority. Our cognitive detective solution will be an AI network of algorithms that will be trained by data scientists in finding the quickest path to recovery. Due to it’s ability to analyze millions of hypothetical models of recovery, it will be able to assist and advice participating users at a high level of accuracy.
